THE JOURNEY TO HEALTHIER HOOVES
A background in Equine Myofunctional Therapy (Cert.EMT) ignited Julie's passion for hoof care.
Understanding the biomechanics and how the hoof influences the entire posture and movement of a horse, she embarked on a journey that transformed into a full-time passion.
Enthralled by everything related to hooves, Julie was taken aback when her long-time farrier showed no interest in answering her burning questions during this period. Realizing she wouldn't receive the support she expected from those already in the trade, she took it upon herself to educate and develop her skills independently.
Fast forward 20 years, a Diploma in Equine Podiotherapy and thousands of hooves and difficult cases later - she realised her passion lay in all things "Hoof Funk". That is, the more difficult cases such as long term white line disease, seedy toe, advanced Thrush, Laminitis, penetrations and anything that wasn't a regular maintenance trim.
